While not as adept at website adjustments as my wonderful team at Evolv I managed to add a few new plans to ur home plans page. check them out they are part of the new American Lifestyles collection we now offer. The footers are in at the Teague job and the block delivered today , we start the crawlspace tomorrow!

New Home started !

We have just pulled the permits and have Started a new home in the Kenilworth section of Asheville. A very well appointed smaller home for the Teague family. The elevation shown of the original plan is a little different from the final design I did for them so keep watching as the job progresses.

FINALLY!! The PA project is done and I finally got up there to get some pictures.

Well the PA project is done except for the grass to be sown in spring and a bit of final grading to the customers specs. Mr. Best is very happy and proud of his new home so much so all the new exterior shots he has taken and sent to me for use. I am hoping later in the summer to share some “greener” pictures with a little real grass in them I just shopped in a little for now so it looked a little better. For now enjoy these interior and exterior shots! And remember if you need a builder willing to travel or have a custom home plan you want to see come to reality do not hesitate to call us!

Small garage apartment remodeled.

The pictures below are just to show some of the flooring and cabinet work available with Mountain Brook Homes. In this update to a garage apartment we removed all the existing flooring and installed hardwood. We also built and installed the raised cabinetry area we used pre-built cabinets except for the small storage piece which I built to the customers specs. The tiny kitchen was redone to accommodate larger regular sized appliances but it is still a Jenny Craig kitchen because if you gain much weight you will not get into the fridge.

We also added some indirect lighting at step and beam locations. We would like to thank the Carter’s for allowing us to post these on short notice . If you have a amall renovation or total rebuild feel free to call us for an estimate

West Asheville job completed!!

As you see from the completed exterior pictures from my last post and now with finished pergola pictured below we are 100% done. Interior finishes with landscape type fireplace and new solid doors revamped lighting added a lot, and new exterior deck for the spring. Our customer is happy and the inspections passed the first go round. As soon as they get the interior the way they want it with the Vestal’s permission I hope to get some interior shots to post! Now on to another renovation in Hendersonville !

Well the progress looks good and the customers are pleased with the new exterior look of the home. (Just compare to original pics) We will be ready for final next week , with a new rear deck and finishing off with the pergola on the front. Also I hope to get the interior renovations posted for you as well. Off to PA to get the final pictures of the Best home and hope to have those up soon as well.! Here are the pictures of the addition under construction , it is looking good and the Vestal’s are pleased. we are going strong on the exterior as well stay posted to see the new exterior look! You can see the front closet and the living room framing below, also the felted roof ready for the metal to match what was previously done on the main home.

New renovation and major face lift started in West Asheville

We have begun a renovation of the Vestal home on Tremont St. We are very happy to have their trust to do a wonderful job transforming their home. A modest ranch with dated siding . We are adding a front master closet which will change the roof line and also a living room on the rear of the home. we will be replacing all the vinyl with Hardi plank , a great local product, also adding a pergola over the existing front deck to add curb appeal. Metal roof to be utilized and lots of windows in the addition.

I designed and drew up the addition for them and they are very excited at the prospect of the extra space and the new look of their home. But the Best house is almost finished just adding an exterior screened porch that the customer added , and looking for boulders they want for some landscaping options. I have learned much about building in PA in the winter DON’T . But all in all it has gone very smoothly . As I am not there except for infrequent inspections and am depending on my general contractor the pictures are not of the highest quality . since I have had requests to see where we are I have attached some pictures as they are below. I plan a trip this month to take final pics myself and will post them ASAP. Thank you for your patience.
