When I moved to Asheville 18 years ago, I signed up for spin class. The instructor made us laugh while kicking our butts. Lucky for me, that hilarious spin instructor is also a homebuilder. I was worried about working with someone I knew and liked, but it quickly became apparent that I found someone that cared about my sanctuary as much as (sometimes more than) I did. Thank you, Mountain Brook Homes. I'm really going to miss our check-ins!
While I've been moving in, I've heard coyotes and woodpeckers and owls, and been visited by deer and turkeys. (I'm still hoping to see snakes and bears.) Ramps and jack-in-the-pulpits are growing outside my door, and one of my favorite hikes is 15 minutes away. Dinner on the porch is accompanied by the sound of the creek (which is safely across the road - Helene taught me valuable lessons). I am beyond grateful and looking forward to a lot of peaceful days here.
